How to fold a Double Land Rover ATP
Folding and unfolding a Land Rover
(Manufactured by Pegasus Pushchairs Ltd under licence by Land Rover until September 2002, but no longer available and having no association with the current owner of the Land Rover Trademark)
pushchair is simple and after a few times will become second nature.
The pictures and description below detail how to do it.
There is a hinge and sprung loaded slide lock mechanism on each side of the seat frame immediately above the footplate which secures the pushchair in the upright position.
The folding mechanism on the right hand side of the pushchair (as viewed from the front) has an additional security lock on the slide.
To fold the pushchair
Stand at the front and hold the lower half of the mechanism on both sides
Press the security lock button on the right hand side and slide both sides down
pull towards you to hinge the joint open and forwards
then fold over until flat
To open the pushchair
Simply pull the handle up and the sprung loaded catches will lock into place (sometimes a small jerk near the end may help) - this can be done with one hand, which, when you have two small children can be helpful
The slider is designed to slide up and down the frame, DO NOT twist it around the frame as this will eventually cause the spring to stretch or fail and the hinge may break... we don't know why some people do this !
